About Me

I write fantasy, science fiction, and horror mysteries. I dabble in poetry, but it’s more for my own edification and enjoyment and I keep most of my poetry private. (Read on, and you’ll see why.)

I have a BA in Linguistics, which is a very interesting discipline (no regrets) but not very employable.

So, what pays the bills? Here’s what I did before I decided to embark upon the Writer’s Path.

I’ve been a banker, a baker, a pastry-maker;
a teacher, a tutor, an office admin’strator;
a gardener, a chorister, a volunteer forester;
a lab tech, a tree-trimmer, an instructor of swimmers;
a researcher (of things both present and past}, and a presser-of-pants.

I’m also a mother, a friend, a sister, a wife;
an artist, a painter, and a story-teller, for life.

My interests are many, my pursuits diverse. I want to be a hundred different things and live a hundred different lives, and I’ve come to realize that the only way I can do that is to write a hundred different stories.

So, it is my pleasure to introduce myself as a creator of worlds, a master of fates, a designer of destinies, even a humble (“humble”) purveyor of lies.

Or more simply:

a writer.
